I am hoping John-David will provide photos for all of you. His wife, Kathryn, delivered a healthy little girl last Tuesday, 20 Nov 2007 in Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Her name is Kelsey May Black; she weighed in at 5 lbs. 1 oz. and is 17 1/2 inches tall.
She was due Dec 16, so it is very good news that she waited until her physicians goal of 36 weeks before coming forth.
That's our good news for now. More forthcoming,
Love to all,
Eunice
P.S. Just a reminder, my father's name is Douglass Pixton Bowers and my mother's name is Carma Douglass Bowers (Douglass, yes with a double "s" in each instance, is my mother's maiden name; Pixton is my father's middle name and his mother's maiden name.) The name John has been bestowed on the oldest son in the Bowers family for many generations. It started with my great great grandfather,
John Bowers
his son was John Shadrach Bowers
his son was John David Bowers (my grandfather)
his son was John Alden Bowers (you may remember Uncle Alden who had no natural children of his own so my father, Douglass Pixton Bowers who had the only natural male recipient of the Bowers name:)
named his son John Douglass Bowers
his son is John Douglass Bowers (your brother, or cousin as the case may be)
